Competition wizard

Create a league or cup and generate the fixture list in five guided steps.

Open Competition Wizard from the admin dashboard. The progress bar walks through:

Basics — name and type. Types include League, Team Knockout, Singles Knockout, and Doubles Knockout. Attach an existing season or create a new one (name, start, end).
Format — pick an existing match format or create one inline.
Entrants — select teams (or players / pairings for individual events).
Schedule — dates, home/away patterns, and options the generator needs for that competition type.
Review — confirm before fixtures are written.

After generation you can still edit individual fixtures (date, venue, competitors) from Admin → Fixtures. Cups also have dedicated draw and bracket tools.

Seasons

A season is a date window that groups competitions. Mark one season as active so the homepage Match Hub and knockout lists stay focused on “this year” rather than mixing archives.
